Join us for a gathering focused on remembrance, revolution, liberation, resistance, radical rest + restoration, as a means of preparation.
Black community members who are dedicated to Black liberation are invited to gather in commemoration + remembrance of Black August and those who came before us.
Resistance is necessary.
It can also be energetically, mentally and physically exhausting.
This intimate safe space has been created to encourage inspiration, rest + restoration , in support of continued resistance.
Poet Amanda Shea will use her voice to ignite and inspire, and those in attendance will then be guided by Trauma-Informed Wellness practitioner, Marlene Boyette, through a series of restorative and meditative practices meant to encourage deep relaxation and decompression.
There will also be give-always, offering restorative and wellness focused services, so that you are able to continue the fight from a space of wholeness, rather than depletion.
Note: Those in attendance are encouraged to wear masks, as we make an effort to keep this space and container safe for all.
Folks will be welcomed to take a comfortable seat within the yoga studio, using cushions bolsters and pillows that will be placed across the space, on the floor.*
Boston area certified & registered Trauma Informed Yoga & Meditation / Mindfulness Instructor.
