Refresher course for currently registered medication aides by the Virginia Department of Health Professions Board of Nursing. This four-hour refresher course satisfies the annual requirements for continuing education for Registered Medication Aides (68-hour curriculum). Topics covered include but are not limited to updates on regulations, safe medication and insulin administration, resident/client safety, and facility specific topics. Upon completion of the course students will be able to demonstrate understanding of the topics discussed in the course by completing a written test with 80% accuracy. Participants must be currently registered medication aides by the Virginia Department of Health Professions Board of Nursing. Masks will be required. Contact Carla L.
