The Center for Community Engagement and Service presents Son La Lucha, a DC based musical collective that focuses on spreading traditions. Son La Lucha is a DC based musical collective that focuses on spreading traditions typical of El Son, a category of Mexican folk music and dance. In addition to lightening the spirits of the community, Son La Lucha does a lot of work in activism—attending and heading various protests in the DMV area. They are passionate about social justice issues such as immigration, labor rights, and climate change.
