August 20 Panel Discussion Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs: The Power of Worship to Shape UsThe Lanier Theological Library is inviting scholars and patrons to a free panel discussion on Friday, August 20, from 2:30 - 4:00 pm, in The Stone Chapel. This panel discussion precedes the library's lecture on Saturday night by Robert Morgan. Registration for the Saturday lecture is separate from this panel.  What place does music have in the church, past and present? How have songs shaped our theology/practice? Legacy music and/or the latest music? Join us as our panelists discuss these topics and take a fresh look at the meaning and majesty of worship. This 90-minute session on Friday will feature a panel made up of these five outstanding participants.   1. John Bolin, Pastor of Worship Ministries, First Baptist Church Kingsland, Katy, TX 2. Robert Morgan, Author, Teaching Pastor of The Donelson Fellowship, Nashville, TN 3. Tim Sharp - Director of the Tulsa Chorale, Director of Innovation for Trevecca University’s Center of Community Arts Innovation, Former Director of the American Choral Directors Association 4. Pam Vandewalker - Minister of Worship, Programming, and Creativity, Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, Marietta, GA 5.
