CEF of San Antonio invites you to celebrate and support the accomplishments and challenges of reaching children all over San Antonio! ABOUT: The CEF Gala is a fundrasier to benefit the San Antonio Chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship. This is an opportunity for you to hear from the president of CEF Worldwide how this international organization has impacted the lives of millions of children all over the world, including thousands here in San Antonio. We will spend the evening celebrating the San Antonio successes and also the challenges that lie ahead after experiencing the current pandemic. This day of growth, fellowship and worship will enrich you, stretch you and hopefully, burden your heart for the hundreds of thousands of children in San Antonio who have never heard about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Child Evangelism Fellowship has been serving children all over the world for over 82 years. It was founded by Jesse Overholtzer out of a desire to reach children with the Gospel freeing truth of Scripture. Today, CEF is a Bible-centered worldwide organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to disciple them in the local church for Christian living. You are the local church! Good News Clubs held at public schools, 5 Day Clubs serving apartment complexes and other venues, and Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) are a few of the ways CEF reaches the children who have no other access to the Gospel. CEF develops extensive curriculum, programs and lessons to equip volunteers, church leaders and workers with life-giving, biblically-sound ideas to use effectively in reaching children of all backgrounds. This Gala is our way of sharing the knowledge we have developed over the last 8 decades and asking you to support San Antonio CEF to reach many more children in new school districts, new schools with partnerships with many more local churches. In order for this to be possible, we need your financial support to reach deeper into our community and raise up many more church partners offering Good News Clubs in elementary schools. Join us on Saturday, 9 October 2021 at Bulverde Baptist Church in Bulverde, TX. Come prepared to discover so many new ways to impact the life of a child eternally by supporting the local CEF Chapter. Guest Speaker: Reese Kauffman, President of Child Evangelism Fellowship Raised in a pastor’s home in Indianapolis, Reese trusted Jesus as his Savior at age eight. In 1967 he founded Kauffman Products, Inc., a manufacturer of high-volume metal stampings and components for automotive, appliance and military industries. In 1975 Reese became a member of the local CEF committee in Indianapolis and in 1977 the CEF International Board of Trustees. On October 1, 1989 Reese committed to serve for one year as president, which has now extended to 32 years, without compensation. Under Reese’s leadership, CEF has grown from reaching 1 million boys and girls per year in less than 100 nations to over 25 million children in nearly every nation of the world. Reese is committed to the vision of CEF to reach Every Child in Every Nation with the Good News of Jesus and to disciple each one who receives Jesus to walk with God Every Day. Reese and his wife Linda have three grown children and four grandsons and live on Sanibel Island in Florida. All precautions will be addressed for this dinner gala. The space will be sanitized, hand sanitizer will be available, wear a mask if that helps you be comfortable, the tables will be spread out throughout the space and there will only be 6 per table. This is the first time Reese Kauffman will be speaking in San Antonio in his 30 years as president!
