Join us for our signature panel event as we focus on our mental and overall mind health as it relates to the games we play with ourselves. There is an unrealistic expectation etched into our mind every time we look at one another and believe they have it all. We start playing a game called I WANT THEIR PERFECT LIFE! This is a mind game that causes us to lose repeatedly. Almost immediately it spirals into a negative mind health impacting our surroundings, our self-image, attitude, relationships, success, motivations, and self-worth. What happens when a person continually feels like they are losing? Depression, anxiety, and loneliness creep in resulting in destructive behavior such as substance abuse or eating disorders when the social pressure and mind games are too much. So we ask ourselves… Why do we play this game? How do we make it stop? How do we help each other stop? Siobhan Harman, Vice President of Cushman & Wakefield Iowa Commercial Advisors, will moderate a discussion focused on the mind games affecting our mental health.
