Santa Rita Landscaping an IMMEDIATE opening for a full-time experienced Tree Climber to add to our remarkable team of professionals! Must have prior work experience with Tree Climbing including Trimming, Shaping and Removal. Must be self-motivated with a results-driven approach. Duties & Responsibilities • Job will include trimming and removal of various sized trees along with pruning of bushes, as well as chipping of tree and other debris. • Trims and/or removes trees by climbing, use of powered trimmer lift truck, or works from the ground using gasoline, air, and hand-powered saws, pruner, etc. • Loads and unloads trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feeds brush into a wood chipper • Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces, performing mentally/physically demanding work under unfavorable weather conditions while handling equipment or material. • Maintains safe and clean work environment and safeguards employees and public from hazards in and around work area. Cooperates with customer, police, and fire departments when blocking street or driveways. Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. to protect employees and public. Trained to perform tree and bucket rescue. • Must work productively with crew and completes jobs within hours to meet deadlines • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing SRL standards of quality • Communicates accurate needs to Supervisor and Project Management Experience, Knowledge & Abilities • 1 to 3 years of experience of tree climbing, cutting/trimming/removing trees with rope/harness. • Must be able to lift, move and maneuver heavy weights up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis, but up to 10 pounds on a frequent basis. • Knowledge of OSHA Safety laws and ability to conduct safety meetings with crew members • Be self-motivated and results-driven • Driver’s License with clean driving record • Bilingual a plus but not required Santa Rita Landscaping offers competitive pay based on experience and what YOU bring to the table.
