Get to know other local single mom and their kids while enjoying some time on the water! Spend some quality time with your children, while you get to know other local single moms and their kids. Our Mother & Child events create opportunities for moms and kids to enjoy unique experiences while also getting to know women and children of similar circumstances. Single Mom Strong is expanding to So Cal, and this is our first opportunity to engage IN PERSON with the SMS community! At this event, we will enjoy kayaking, then BYOB (Bring Your Own Basket!) for a picnic! THE FINE PRINT: Attendees must sign a COVID liability waiver and understand that they attend at their own risk. A liability waiver will be emailed to you and must be returned prior to attending. IF YOU ARE NOT PRESENT AT 10:00, YOUR REGISTRATION WILL BE FORFEITED. Wait list participants will be notified of cancellations and available space on the morning of the event. If there is not a cancellation, wait list participants will be refunded their full ticket price. We are so excited to enjoy this time with you! See you soon! Statistics shows that children of single mothers suffer in a variety of ways and the mothers often find themselves living in poverty and riddled with guilt or frustration. But, we are here to change the statistics.  We believe that single mothers and their children do not have to be negatively impacted by this circumstance. In fact, being "single-mom-strong: having grit and determination; refusing to fail", is not detrimental at all... Single Mom Strong exists for the empowerment of single mothers and their children through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs.  Funds raised are used to advance our mission. It is the mission of Single Mom Strong to create a community of single mothers and children in support of one another, while empowering them to be their best selves, through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs.
