The Caroline Project will sponsor the movie "Suicide: The Ripple Effect" with special guest speaker Kevin Hines.
Kevin Hines, an award-winning brain/mental health and suicide prevention activist, entrepreneur, multiple award-winning filmmaker, best-selling author, international educator and speaker will be sharing his story of an unlikely survival and strong will to live after attempting suicide by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge to spread the message of hope, recovery and wellness.
Following his presentation, Kevin will be hosting his movie, “Suicide: The Ripple Effect”. This award-winning, feature length documentary film is having a global impact & creating a movement, focusing on the devastating effects of suicide and the tremendous positive ripple effects of advocacy, inspiration and hope that are helping millions heal & stay alive.
The film chronicles Kevin’s personal journey and the ripple effect it has on those who have been impacted by his suicide attempt and his life's work since. In addition, the film highlights the stories of individuals and families who are utilizing their personal tragedy to bring hope and healing to others.
The presentation & screening will be at the Erskine College Lesesne Auditorium in Abbeville, South Carolina.
Door to auditorium will open at 4:30pm. Guests are encouraged to come earlier for mental health resources. Snacks & refreshments will be available for purchase outside of the auditorium before the event. There will also be resource tables for information on mental health and suicide prevention.
