Delivery Driver Reporting relationship Reports to the Warehouse Manager Essential duties and responsibilities Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner. Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied. Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles. Accepting payments for delivered items. Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients. Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules. Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record. Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries. Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc. Delivery Driver Requirements Forklift/Reachlift certification (Can train on site) Valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Washington Clean driving record Willingness to adhere to safety procedures, transportation laws and assigned routes Strong time management and ability to work independently Attention to details Essential physical abilities The physical demands described herein are representative of those that are required by the employee in order to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Essential Physical Abilities: Clarity of speech and hearing that permits the employee to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Clarity of vision to include; near and far vision, ability to focus while operating, work equipment, computers and ability to read printed materials. Manual dexterity that permits the employee to operate a personal computer, organize files, handle products, and operate equipment. Personal mobility that permits the employee to enter, operate, and exit motor vehicles. Ability to navigate stairs. Ability to regularly lift 50-150 pounds. Ability to walk, lift, stand, and reach for the duration of the shift. Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, and climb. Working Conditions: Work is performed on site, including warehouse and hay barn and off site, for deliveries to barns and private residences/facilities Customer assistance and location duties are required in all weather conditions. Various noise levels are present in the work environment, from low to moderately loud. Job Type: Full-time only
