Each 2 hr event is a unique creation of music community, with special intentions and new elements each time. Arrive 5:45, be settled at 6. A conscious community of voices, hearts, and intentions singing and sharing powerful medicine songs, then marinating in a healing mini-sound bath and vocal channeling. A participatory experience to fill your vessel with vibration; not just by receiving, but participating, with voice and sometimes with simple instruments and harmony parts. Community creation. Often welcoming a guest collaborator, there is always unique element of inner soul-work offering (such as movement medicine, breath, or meditation) at each ceremony. Offered by Colleen Porter owner/creator of Song and Sound for the Soul. (@songsoundsoul) Colleen has a music degree with a couple decades teaching music, and in the past decade has been studying all things healing arts; sparked by her own journey to wholeness. Her favorite thing is to help people get in touch with the truest, freest, most joyful version of themselves... and finds that music and sound gets people closer to that forgotten version of themselves. She hopes to empower children and inner-children of all ages become empowered and confident as music creators and human beings… enjoying all the healing benefits of music, whether they feel they have "talent" or not. Colleen also holds space at retreats and at her “House of Song and Sound” in Sedona for individuals and events… with sound facilitation, bio-tuning. vocal toning, song channeling, breathwork, reiki energy work, shamanic journeying and ancient ceremonial practices. She combines these elements into intuitive custom 2 - 3 hour healing experiences. Colleen uses her music skills and instruments learned over a lifetime that now flow with ease and in connection to source. She uses them in a new intuitive way to create in the moment music experiences and loves to invite others to share this collaborative, creative space. Colleen intuitively selects instruments and songs for each circle, sometimes channeling new ones specifically for the energy of the current day or week.
