Get out on the river and see the National Heritage right from the river! Paddle your way on the Susquehanna River and explore the heritage area from the water. Join Susquehanna National Heritage Area and Chiques Rock Outfitters for a mini heritage paddle in front of The Columbia Crossing River Trails Center. This out-and-back paddle include equipment rental, instructions on how to paddle and safely operate the kayak, a self-guided interpretive heritage tour, and about an hour out on the water. Kayaking on the Susquehanna requires moderate exertion. It is best recommended for confident beginners. Best for ages 12 and above. Children ages 13 -17 years must have parent or guardian signature. They can be on their own single or double kayak. Cost: $15 per person Requirements: All participants must have a signed waiver prior to participation. Waivers will be available on-site, but participants are encouraged to review and sign the form in advance.
