Description
MIAMI, FL—Miami-Dade County issued a no-swim advisory for Little Maule Lake on Wednesday after a wastewater pipe broke, causing discharge into the lake and surrounding waters.
As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, the order was still in effect.
The public is advised to avoid the water in the following areas: Northeast 183rd street to the north, Oleta River State Park Beach to the south, Biscayne Boulevard to the west, and the Intracoastal Waterway to the east. Miami-Dade County says Greynolds Park is also in the affected area.
The advisory also includes other water recreational activities such as fishing and boating, the county says.
