Police ID Man Killed In Huntington Station Shooting

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A man was shot to death in Huntington Station on Monday night, Suffolk police said. A 911 caller reported hearing gunshots on Lowndes Avenue at 10:49 p.m., police said. Officers found Luis Cameron Rimmer-Hernandez, 21, of Dix Hills, lying in the street with a gunshot wound, police said. Rimmer-Hernandez was pronounced dead at Huntington Hospital. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
