WESTFIELD, NJ —San Francisco-based Volta Charging, which installs electric vehicle charging stations, announced this week that it has installed new charging stations at 112 Prospect St. in Westfield. According to Volta's website, the company already has charging stations in Westfield at: Public Parking Lot 1 (2 stations) at 155 Elm St., Public Parking Lot 4 (2 stations) at 12 Mountain Ave. and Public Parking Lot 2 (2 stations) at 300 North Ave. West. "The new charging stations at the Westfield Public Parking lot further Volta Charging's mission to build convenient, simple and delightful charging infrastructure that is seamlessly incorporated into a driver's everyday experience," Volta said in a press release. The company said it recently announced new charging stations in its New Jersey network in Morris Plains and at the Bergen County Zoo. According to a release, Volta Charging builds and operates a nationwide EV charging network that has among the best utilization per station in the country. The company said it installs its charging stations where drivers already spend their time and money, including near grocery stores, pharmacies and other retail locations. On Volta's website, the company lists 1,954 charging stations across the country. The company offers a charging station locator, which also lets drivers know if a charging station is in use.
