camping in Charleston?

Just looking for advice.. I live a few hours away but I'm just enjoying a visit at the Charleston beaches.. I was going to do a "day trip" but figured "why not stay a few days".. eventhough I'm trying to spend as little money as possilbe.. I thought about just sleeping in my car a night or two (because I've read that a lot of travellers do that at WalMarts and at Pilots/Truck stops etc).. but then I thought.. a campsite would be better.. soooo what is the cheapest camp site in the area?
