Animal Control Officers Rescued Many Cats, Who Now Need Homes

EAST HAVEN, CT —East Haven animal control officers were called to a home following an eviction, Animal Control Officer Owen Little said. What they found were "many, many" cats. As of Wednesday, the animal shelter has 23 cats and kittens as a result of the rescue of the numerous felines in the house. Little took to Facebook to ask the community to consider adopting a cat. "I know everyone loves kittens, but please consider an adult cat also," he said, noting that the photos he shared represent just a sampling of the many cats now in the shelter. For those interested in seeing and possibly adopting a cat or kitten, Little asks people to call 203-468-3249. Little also mentioned a number of animal cruelty cases officers have been investigating.
