Woman Dies In North Kingstown Crash

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A woman died in a two-car crash in North Kingstown Tuesday morning, according to emergency officials. The crash took place around 11:30 a.m., on South County Trail at the intersection of Dry Bridge Road. Police said a dark gray PT cruiser and a white Buick LaCrosse were involved in a head-on collision. One person was in each car: a 57-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman. Police said the 20-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other woman was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. The extent of her injuries wasn't immediately available.
