ROMEOVILLE, IL — The U.S. National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from noon-7 p.m. Tuesday, with heat index values of 110 degrees expected in some areas.
According to the Will County Emergency Management Agency, there are several cooling centers available across the county, including Romeoville Fire Station 3, 698 N. Birch Lane; and White Oak Library District-Romeoville branch at 201 W. Normantown Road.
Romeoville Fire Station 3 is open by request and the White Oak Library District - Romeoville branch is open 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Before heading to a cooling center, call ahead and ensure it is open and operating.
