MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police, fire, and AMR ambulance responded to Amherst Street near the corner of Ashland Street for a report of shots fired on Monday.
When responders arrived, they found a 27-year-old man with gunshot wounds, being treated by bystanders. The man was suffering from what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the Elliot Hospital by AMR ambulance.
Police said witnesses reported the victim and another man had been arguing then they heard a gunshot. The victim was seen laying in front of the stairs to the apartment building.
Manchester Police Spokesperson Heather Hamel said, "It has been determined that the victim and the suspect knew each other and this is an isolated incident. Police are still investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting, but have identified all the individuals involved and believe there is no danger to the community."
