Earthquake Reported In Canterbury On Wednesday

CANTERBURY, NH — If you felt a little bump in the night this morning, you were not alone. The U.S. Geological Survey reported an earthquake on Wednesday in Canterbury at just before 2 a.m. The quake measured 1.8 magnitude. According to officials, it was around 2.8 kilometers in depth. According to the U.S. Geological Survey map, the earthquake occurred just off Boyce Road near Cambridge Drive between Route 132 and Interstate 93. During the past decade, there have been a number of earthquakes in the state, including several in Concord and the capital region. Most of the earthquakes have been small in size — in the 1.2 to 2.9 magnitude range, not unlike Wednesday's quake. Did you feel the earthquake this morning? Leave a note in the comment section.
