CONCORD, NH — It's hump day ... and it's humid. On Wednesday, the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services said the ozone was moderate. However, on Thursday and Friday, it will be unhealthy for sensitive groups, which is why the department issued an air quality action day. Ground-level ozone (i.e. smog) will be concentrated at an unhealthy level from New York City to coastal Maine. The air will be sensitive to children and older adults; anyone with lung diseases such as asthma, emphysema, or bronchitis; and people who are active outdoors, according to officials. Some non-sensitive folks could experience mild health effects and may want to consider limiting strenuous or prolonged outdoor activities, an alert stated. PSU To Host Return To College Town Hall Plymouth State University is hosting a "return-to-campus" town hall on Aug. 18, for students and residents of Plymouth and surrounding communities. The school will be hosting the meeting to inform all involved about COVID-19 protocols, testing requirements, safety precautions, and events. At 5 p.m., this Zoom link will carry the meeting live. BJ's Donates $1M To Feed The Hungry BJ's Wholesale Club's charitable foundation has donated $1 million to Feeding America. The donation will lead to grants going to 50 different member food banks in the eastern United States. Music Hall Requires Vaccine Passports ... And No Refunds The Tupelo Music Hall, one of the state's best places to see music, will now require COVID-19 vaccine passports or a recent negative test (administered 72 hours or less before an event) in order to attend its concerts. The venue informed customers about the change, effective Aug. 20, on Wednesday. The venue will be using an app and will require customers to share their information with the app. The club will also be asking, not mandating, that people wear masks — even though vaccinated people can spread the virus to others. For customers who purchased tickets for future shows but do not want to share their personal health info with the app or the venue, you're out of luck: Tupelo Music Hall will not be offering ticket refunds. Gender Reveal Bomb Guilty Verdict Anthony Spinelli, who made national headlines after being accused of detonating 80 pounds of Tannerite in Kingston, as part of a gender reveal party in April, has been found guilty, according to WMUR-TV.
