NOVATO, CA — The Novato Parks & Recreation Department's fall 2021 programing is open for business.
The city agency has released its Fall 2021 Activity Guide and registration is open for new and returning fall programs that start in late August.
Youth basketball, expanded gymnastics classes, chess club, afterschool baking classes, and adult volleyball are among several popular programs that will return this fall.
The Margaret Todd Senior Center has also recently reopened.
"We are excited to welcome back our community to the Margaret Todd Senior Center this fall for programs, activities and events. With the addition of our beautiful Hill Recreation Area, directly adjacent to the Senior Center and Hill Gymnasium, this campus truly has something for everyone," Katie Gauntlett, the agency's deputy directory, said in a statement.
"We continue to expand program offerings while keeping our community's health and safety a priority. We look forward to seeing our community participate in all the Novato Fun we have planned this fall!"
All Parks & Recreation programming will continue to abide by State and County Public Health guidelines, including Marin County's current Public Health Order requiring all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a face covering indoors in public places, city officials said.
Additional health and safety protocols include social distancing, handwashing, frequent surface cleaning and disinfecting, and other precautionary practices.
The city said it will continue to closely monitor public health orders and will keep our community informed of any changes to our programming.
