GRAYSLAKE, IL — A lightning strike is believed to have caused a fire at a townhome complex in Grayslake on Monday, fire officials said.
The blaze started in a three-story townhome in the 1200 block of Silo Hill Drive, according to a news release from the Grayslake Fire Protection District. Firefighters first at the scene found one of the units on fire. That blaze spread to an adjacent townhome through the attic.
No one was injured in the blaze. Residents in the two townhomes were displaced.
The fire remains under investigation.
