Description
Been playing for 20 years or so, really miss gigging and being part of a band. Guitar/music is what I spend virtually all my waking free-time doing, and I want to take it to the next level and get back out there. I can do rhythm or lead, though I traditionally am a lead player. I can also do competent backup vox.
My influences and musical interests are genuinely varying, from Metal to radio Pop, even some classical. Recent interests have been heavy-blues/jazz rock style playing.
In *some* particular order: Coheed and Cambria, Third Eye Blind, Queen, My Chemical Romance, Jimi Hendrix, The Dear Hunter, Fall Out Boy, Polyphia, Intervals, Emarosa, The Used, Dream Theater, AFI, Avenged Sevenfold, Steve Vai, Pink Floyd....and on and on. Right down to guilty pleasures from Djent-y stuff to Taylor Swift. Is it catchy? Is it melodic and inspiring? I'm into it.
I do have "pro level" equipment (and I mean that without any elitism, but it seems to be what everyone wants). If it matters, I am in my mid-30's. I do have reliable personal transportation. I also tell jokes (but they won't make you laugh because they're bad).
Hey, maybe this is the sign you were looking for. Don't be shy, lets jam
