CHARLOTTE, NC — A missing 63-year-old Charlotte man suffering from cognitive issues has been located more than week after he was reported missing to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Melvin Pharr was reported missing from the 3900 block of LaSalle Street and last seen Friday, July 30 around noon in the 3900 block of Freedom Drive, CMPD said in an Aug. 3 plea for community help locating him. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes, and is believed to be on foot, CMPD said, adding, "Mr. Pharr suffers from cognitive concerns." "Mr. Pharr has been safely located and is in the process of being reunited," CMPD said in a statement Tuesday.
