Description

Are you looking for a smart, quiet, obedient older dog to just be your hang out buddy, or take for leisurely walks around the neighborhood? Then Tori might be your furever find! Tori is a roughly 10 year old spayed female mixed breed. Best guess as to breeds is Lab/Rottweiler/Pittie -- she has a very short coat and a docked tail. She's not very tall, about the size of a cattle dog, but she's overweight at the moment, which makes it harder to tell. (She came to me at 80 lbs, is down to 70 lbs, and should be around 45 lbs.) She's a lovely lady, and clearly was a beloved housepet. She came in as a stray to Carpinteria and was never reclaimed, and is now in foster. Tori is housebroken, lives well with other dogs and a cat, walks well on leash, and rides nicely in the car (although she insists on sitting in the front passenger seat, which is a bit of a tight fit ATMO!) She's not much of a barker either. Really, she's one of the easiest going dogs I've ever fostered. Tori is up to date on her vaccinations, and even had a dental recently! She does struggle a bit with urinary tract infections, but regular cleaning and weight loss may fix that. Otherwise she's in good health for her age. The adoption fee for Tori is $75, which goes to Animal Medical Clinic, the contract partner responsible for Carpinteria's stray dogs. If you are interested in Tori, you can respond to this ad. I will not respond to requests to phone or text, as Craigslist is being used to harvest phone numbers. If your interest is serious, you will end up completing the City's adoption application in any event, and then we will talk!
