We're looking to adopt a female puppy into the family (spayed (or will be), not for breeding purposes). Teenage kids, some cats in the home, and we'd prefer something young enough we can socialize it well with us and the other animals, and really integrate it into the family dynamic. We're experienced animal people and can absolutely give it the time and attention it needs. We're not looking for high pedigree papered animals, mixes OK, but probably best if it's on the smaller side as it will be primarily in-doors (but not left alone - someone is around during the day to provide care and quality time). Not expecting freebies either, but not in a position to pay thousands. Local to Maine preferred.
