We are looking for someone just like you! altE is looking for a full-time Warehouse Associate to join our warehouse in Boxborough, Massachusetts. As a Warehouse Associate you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing inventory, orders processing, shipping, receiving, quality control support, cleaning and maintenance of warehouse. Job Summary The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing inventory, order processing, shipping, receiving, quality control support, cleaning and maintenance of warehouse. All warehouse associates report to the Warehouse Lead Associate when the Warehouse Supervisor is out. Anything that needs to get done if you are busy can be handled by the warehouse associates. Qualifications Minimum Education: High School Degree or equivalent certification. Basic knowledge of simple math concepts. Good depth perception Basic knowledge of use and operations of motorized merchandise movement equipment. Ability to meet physical requirements including: a variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves; regular lifting of up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 70 pounds, occasional climbing of ladders; usage of pallet jacks. Must be 18 years or older Preferred Power pallet jack and forklift Certification. Maintain annual certification requirements. 1+ years of experience working in a warehouse Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties Supports various warehouse Department (Order fulfillment, Returns, Inventory Control, Shipping & Receiving) as required Order Fulfillment Run a pull sheet browser to get all orders that can ship on picking. Pick and pack orders Sort, consolidate product Package, shrink wrap product Sticker and de-sticker product Returns Receive and sort inbound returns in Receiving area Process return orders in Everest and label as needed and put away in proper bin. Clerical duties as required Shipping & Receiving Prepare LTL's and small package order for shipping as required by assignment by the Warehouse Supervisor Inspect for damage and acknowledge on delivery receipt incoming deliveries Transport incoming and outgoing shipments to and from the loading dock Assist customers as they arrive for customer pick-ups, including transporting product to the dock Inventory Control Support Physical Inventory and Cycle counts as required and communicate inventory discrepancies to supervisor as discovered Unpack, inspect, count and ensure accuracy according to packing slips, label product using item codes obtained from Everest and stock PO's and store all incoming product in appropriate locations Notify Customer Support immediately of any concealed damage that is discovered during the unpacking process Communicate with Customer Support any product discrepancies that are discovered during the receiving process including incorrect product shipped and any overages or shortages Others Cleans and maintains building facilities Moving material throughout warehouse Building/sorting shipments Assisting staff as required Accept and perform additional responsibilities when it is deemed necessary and appropriate Reporting Report to Warehouse Manager Job Requirements Physical requirements include sitting or standing in one position for a long period of time, up to 8 hours. Walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, '''climbing,''' moving or carrying objects that may weigh up to 70 pounds or more.(e.g. boxes, pallets etc.) Typical warehouse environment with adequate lighting and ventilation. Subject to variety of noise and temperature levels. Should be able to multi-task including answering the phone and looking up information on a computer, as well as work in a team atmosphere. Have the disposition to cope with a variety of personalities including irate or irrational customers, as well as being capable of making rational independent decisions. Moderate dexterity to include use of keyboard, phone, hand/eye coordination. May occasionally be required to work extra hours when it is necessary to complete work assignments.
