Amateur drummer looking to play alt/rock/contemporary worship

I'm moving to LP or Lakeview soon. I've been playing set on and off since high school but I really REALLY want to find a group to practice with when I move to Chicago at the beginning of September. I don't have a ton of experience but my heart is in this and I want to get better and have fun (and meet cool new musicians). My favorite bands to play to include Green Day, Jimmy Eat World, Smashing Pumpkins, and others in that 90's-00's alt rock range. I played contemporary worship all throughout high school and am also searching for a church, so there's potential to kill 2 birds with one stone here.
