Description

The National Institutes on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) is recruiting heavy drinkers for a study to evaluate the safety of an investigational drug to treat signs and symptoms of alcohol associated liver damage. If you drink more than 20 alcoholic beverages per week, you may have this type of liver damage. You are able to participate if: You are between the ages of 21 and 65 years You drink more than 20 alcoholic drinks per week You can come to the NIH clinical center for weekly outpatient visits for 2 months You are not able to participate if: You are pregnant or breastfeeding You are seeking treatment for alcohol related or other medical condition(s) You are participating in another study involving a drug treatment or blood draws Compensation will be provided.
