1099 Contract Mover Job Summary - We are seeking a few talented, motivated individual to us as a 1099 contract Mover and Driver. We have earned a reputation as one of the hardest working and fastest movers in the business, and as part of our team, you will disassemble and pack furniture (when necessary), load appliances, and other large items, box small items, stow cargo safely in box trucks, and transport items to their destination. Under direction, you unpack, reassemble, and set new spaces to the specifications of customers. This is a physically demanding position, and our ideal candidate is able to lift and move heavy objects throughout the day while displaying the teamwork and collaborative spirit we are known for. Mover Duties and Responsibilities Disassemble and reassemble furniture Load and unload large items to and from box trucks Efficiently pack smaller items into boxes, taking care to protect fragile goods (when necessary) Drive trucks to and from delivery locations (Driver ONLY) Unpack items and arrange new spaces for use according to customer specifications MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO GET TO THE JOB ON TIME!!!!! Mover Requirements and Qualifications A high school diploma or GED certificate preferred The physical ability to lift and move heavy objects throughout a normal workday Ability to use dollies and ramps, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills. A positive, collaborative attitude, customer service, team work.
