We are currently looking for a self motivated freelance part-time Audio Visual Technician. Must have basic knowledge of Audio, Video, IT support. This position is event by event bases. You will report directly to the director of Audio Visual and work along hotel staff for any events throughout the hotel to ensure that we meet all clients needs during their event. Mask will be required while on site due to the clients liability clause. **Vaccination is not required! Requirements: - High School Diploma is required and a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. - Customer Service - 3+ years of audio visual experience (Hotel or Event Space) - 2+ years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred. - Understands technical aspects of the job for troubleshooting and problem solving. - Excellent computer skills including all Microsoft Office programs with a special emphasis in presentation programs - A valid driver’s license, transportation, and a cell phone - Must be able to lift 75+ lbs - Climb above 6ft using Step ladder/Lift with proper safety gear. - Dress Code: business casual appropriate (No tennis shoes or Jewelry) - Organized - Works well under pressure - Communicate Effectively with clients - Provides audio-visual support to staff, utilizing technologies such as Zoom, WebEx, MS Teams, etc. - Basic knowledge of Wireless Microphones - Small & large projection formatting. - Basic knowledge of Power Point presentations - Understand basic DMX signal flow and LED fixtures. - Microsoft Outlook - Experience using MAC/Windows based applications Duties: - Set & Strike Audio Visual Equipment: Large Fast fold screens Tripod Screen Wireless microphones Audio mixers LED lighting fixtures Pipe & Drape Hardware Video Projectors - Assisting Hotel Staff with any AV needs while on site. - Operate Sound consoles for live events, meetings, theatrical performances. - Troubleshooting and Problem solving any technical issues with clients. - Responds to any last minute AV request from client. - Taping down of any audio/video cables within the conference room. - Read room setup diagrams or layout of audio visual equipment - Understand basic DMX signal flow and LED fixtures. - BE ON TIME!!!
