Cooper Mountain Vineyards, located in Beaverton, is gearing up for our Harvest season and searching for night shift Cellar Workers to join our hardworking production team. Harvest Cellar Worker will work from End August through the End October working 7 days/ week at peak of period (Mid September to Mid October) Position Overview: Perform quality control prior and during alcohol fermentation. Provide assistance to the winemaker team. Maintain and promote a professional attitude, appearance, and work area in accordance with Cooper Mountain's mission statement. *Cooper Mountain Vineyards does not provide temporary housing for employees. *The winery is not served by public transportation, so reliable personal transportation is a must. Primary Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions • Pre and post work sanitation. • Quality control by sampling fermenters and measuring Brix and pH (we will train you); • Additions; • Fruit handling; • Understand and comply with applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulations.. Requirements • Stand for long periods & work in a fast-paced environment • Work in a flexible & continually changing environment. • Tolerate exposure to outside elements (heat, wet and/or damp conditions, cold) • Perform heavy physical work, lifting 50 lbs repeatedly, bending, climbing, pulling, or squatting for long periods. • Work long hours during crush and peak periods and accept working night • Understand verbal and written English and being interested in science • Ability to understand and comply with any and all safety requirements. • Must be 21 years of age. • Strong work ethic and dependability. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. • Valid Driver License. • Ability to lift and carry 40lbs and navigate stairs and hilly terrain.
