Description
I have a business concept that to the core of it would require the ventures leadership team to work for free possibly indefinitely.
Due to technology, such as Amazon, commercial properties are no longer needed leaving a ton up empty space. In colder regions like Alaska that has a small agricultural community this presents the opportunity to get cheap commercial space for indoor grow centers (not marijuana). My idea is to pick up 1100 - 1300 sqft of rented commercial space, grow crops in it, and sell directly to customers. Ive already spoken with the muni and they said you can do direct sales with a general business license. In addition, there are plenty of plants that still produce grown indoors. Just need to find a location that would allow indoor growing.
The catch is this will not yield profits, at most this will cover the costs of the rent and utilities only if we had a rented space in lesser desirable areas. The point of this it to add to the community and culture of Anchorage Alaska. If this is successful, you will receive community recognition, branding, business / startup experience, and who knows the potentials of a business model like this. Maybe scale up and be able to source directly to grocery store locally grown produce.
What I need is a team, early entry venture leaders who are willing to be volunteers, shape this business and "volunteer" 5 - 10 hrs per week once up and running who are also willing to help front the small startup costs. People with backgrounds complementary to this venture who can see and believe in the vision. I already have an MBA and business experience so we have that to start with!
Please serious inquiries only.
