Description
I have a 15.2 2003 AQHA mare. Her registered name is JC Dude I'm Bright - I can find her papers if needed. She was a 1D/2D Barrel horse in Utah, Colorado, and NM, but has been retired from racing about 5 years (I've owned her since 2013/2014). She has experience doing lots of other types of riding, including reining cowhorse-type training and trail riding. She is built like a tank and is a powerhouse. When she's being ridden consistently she's a very "fancy" broke horse - knows how to move her front, rear, collect, extend, roll back, twotrack, etc. Right now she is not being used, and definitely needs a tune up.
The catch...
She is developing some sort of lameness in her front feet. The vet (Dr. Wahl @ Idaho Equine) believes she is becoming insulin resistant - we have not done bloodwork yet. First step was pulling her off pasture and dropping some weight.
She has a history of old injuries - so she does require maintenance. If she is insulin resistant, the best thing for her would be to lose weight and be on a steady exercise regimen. I am not riding much now, and do not have the time or resources to slowly rehab her back to where she needs to be. Right now she is sitting bored in a dry lot, and she deserves better.
She has never been bred before & is too much horse for a beginner.
I'm happy to get updated pics of her, these pics are throughout the years.
Email me if you're interested in knowing more about her. I'm open to suggestions/offers.
