Experience with dogs in a professional setting is preferred Owning several dogs does not qualify unless you've needed to complete training lessons for pack management in order to keep the peace in your home Job Setting: Indoor/outdoor, exposure to elements but access to shelter. It gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter. We work in the sun, rain, sleet, snow, wind, mud, and dust. (Not to mention drool and other canine bodily fluids at times). The facility is an old farm house and barn Duties will include and are not limited to: Accurately assessing the behavior of dogs in an individual and/or group setting Using our training techniques to guide the dogs into positive experiences with each other, the environment, and the staff Reporting health statuses to management in a timely manner Cleaning up urine, feces, fur, etc. Monitoring the environment for safety hazards and clearing them or working w/ management to fix Closing procedures involving janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, taking out trash Keeping the facility clean and organized Pulling weeds and maintaining the play yards (bonus if you have heavier landscaping experience) Performance Requirements: This is a highly physical and mentally stimulating job. One must be able to run frequently, bend over completely, crouch, lean, lift up to 50lbs, or team lift something 100lbs, multitask, switch from fast paced work to relaxed and then back as the work day flows. I can give 10- 20 hours a week. Hours are based on the number of dogs attending each week and so they can flex but we are gaining business and lost a person so we need help and there is room for growth in available hours. We need coverage on Mondays and Tuesdays for sure, but the business is open M-F and there may be available hours on other days as we are growing quickly. There are also periodic maintenance hours available for those who qualify, usually on weekends or in the evenings. Rate of pay starts at $12.15/hr Must be 18 or older Position is considered part-time, but could become full-time if your performance is excellent
