Volunteer to Deliver Meals to Seniors

NorVOLution - Norwoods Volunteer Revolution - is seeking volunteers to deliver meals to home bound seniors in the Norwood Park and surrounding neighborhoods. We currently have routes available on Tuesday and Friday. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Total maximum time volunteers serve is approximately 1½ hours (11:00 a.m. thru 12:30 p.m.) per day. Most routes have at least 6 stops but never more than 12 with total miles not more than 10 to 15. Job Functions: • Drivers pick up meals from Norwood Crossing each day by 11:00 a.m. • Using own automobile, hot lunch meals are transported in heat retaining carriers and the light dinners in brown paper bags. Lunch and dinner meals are labeled with the name/address of recipient. • Delivery route maps are provided. • Return carriers and bags to the facility after delivering meals. Requirements: • Commitment length of 2 months or more • Volunteers are able to commit to a regular weekly route or be on call
