The Horn Dogs, one of CNYs top 10 PC horn driven party bands and 2016 SAMMY winner for Peoples Choice is looking for a new lead trumpet player to replace a recent member who is retiring out of state (who will make the occasional guest appearance when sax when back in town). The Dogs play a solid mix of R&B, Motown, Dance and Classic Rock tunes 60's through today. We play an average of 2-3 times per month from high end corporate/private events, to park gigs, to weddings, to the occasional bar to many leading outdoor festivals and everything in between for crowds in the hundreds to thousands! We have opened for national acts and travelled throughout NYS but most gigs are in CNY. We are looking for someone who can read well, improv as needed, hit the high notes and blend with the other 3 horns (sax & 2nd/3rd trumpets) and rest of band. We are a real fun band, and do this as a labor of love vs. just the $ (if you are looking as this solely as an extra income probably not the right gig for you).
