JOB TITLE: Racker JOB DESCRIPTION: Personal Protective Equipment shall be provided and must be worn while in the production area. Placing parts from customers’ purchase order onto metal frames or racks. The parts must be tight and secure to they can be processed safely. Using a racking guide and work ticket Racker will verify what type alloy parts are and use only compatible racks. Fill out paper work associated with work ticket; incoming inspection, count parts incoming making sure that parts seem to be in good condition prior to plating, describe racks used for ticket, quantity of racks and parts per rack. a) Verify the correct material for processing b) Assess risk for accepting job c) Visually examine the delivery for damage. Damage shall be noted on the receiving inspection line on the second page of the Work Ticket; and d) Verify that proper conformance certifications, physical and chemical test data or special process certifications are included and meet requirements. Place rack and associated top page of work ticket in staging area for platers to appropriately plate parts. Blow parts off after they have been processed; verify count on racks document on work ticket. As parts are removed from rack check for damage in process and over all good quality of plating. After making sure plating is consistent use work ticket requirements as a guideline to package parts. No parts should have metal to metal contact after packaging. Racker work with Quality Manager and Production Manager to get the best product possible in the quickest time possible. All other tasks as needed or prescribed by general manager. REQUIRED SKILL LEVEL: Must be able to read and write English. Must be able to follow instructions both verbally and non-verbally. Must be able to lift 30 pounds at a time. Must be able to use hands and tools when pinching, gripping, and pulling. Should be able to use a pallet jack for moving skids. Must be able to stand for an eight hour period with small breaks throughout the day. High school education, GED, or equivalent experience. TRAINING: Knowing the applicable parts of QMS and be familiar with applicable jobs and processes taken on at SPI. General Safety, Hexavalent Chromium Training and Hazardous Waste training. Must have general knowledge of what lock out tag out procedures. May have forklift training but it is not a requirement. SUPERVISOR: Leroy Milburn
