Every August 31st, communities around the world come together to remember those lost to overdose, acknowledge the grief of loved ones left behind, reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths and reduce the impact of overdose. As we approach the 21st International Overdose Awareness Day this year, the impacts of COVID-19 on health systems and the risks it creates for vulnerable people means this cause has only become more urgent.
This year we invite you to join Safe Communities at Olbrich Park, 6pm on Tuesday August 31st.
