2021 Foster Parent Recruitment Series A Recruitment Series will once again be offered in 2021. The Department of Children and Families, in partnership with the Coalition for Children, Youth, & Families, will provide training and support to Foster Care Coordinators and recruitment teams to learn recruitment basics and strategies. This program will: 1) Support participants in development of a recruitment plan, recruitment team, and identifying Foster Parent Champions to assist them in recruiting and supporting foster families. 2) Provide $100 referral bonuses to foster parents for referring others who successfully complete the licensing process. Must meet criteria outlined by DCF. *Note: Reimbursement of expenses for utilizing Foster Parent Champions will not be included in the 2021 year. DCF has yet to determine reimbursement for the 2022 year. All related questions will be deferred to DCF. This initial launch webinar will include: an overview of key concepts related to targeted recruitment an outline of the components of the Recruitment programrequirements of participants in the program as outlined by DCFWho is this series for? The Recruitment program is for Foster Care Coordinators and/or Recruitment Team members from counties, private child placing agencies, and Tribes. The Recruitment program will be “launched” with this live webinar for foster care coordinators, directors, and supervisors from agencies interested in enrolling. Agency leadership participation in this webinar is strongly encouraged for any agency wishing to enroll.
