The Kingsmen went on to fame with their version of “Louie Louie”. Mike’s guitar solo in “Louie,Louie” inspired many a person to pick up the guitar and play rock & roll in the 60’s before Beatle mania took over. Mike Mitchell passed away in April. The Kingsmen are putting together “A Celebration Of Mike Mitchell” to honor him. The remaining members will play along with special guests throughout the evening including Phil “Fang” Volk from Paul Revere & the Raiders, Mike Skill from the Romantics, with more to be added in the upcoming weeks.
