Description
Classical Music meets Stand-Up Comedy! Christopher Hall is the former principal clarinet of the Orchestre Métropolitain in Montréal (Yannick Nézet-Seguin) who found work in the orchestra far too serious! So now, instead of joking around while sitting in the orchestra, he performs as a stand up comedian, and does various television and radio shows in both English and French. In the past ten years, he has performed his acclaimed concert ‘Comic Orchestra’ throughout Canada, the US, and Germany alongside some of the best symphony orchestras in the country. He also performed it with a chamber orchestra in July 2014 at the Montreal Just for Laughs festival in front of a crowd of 3000, to rave reviews. He has appeared in such prestigious Comedy festivals as the Just for Laughs, The Winnipeg Comedy Fest, and the Grand Rire in Québec City. In 2010, he had the honour of hosting Whoopi Goldberg’s show in Québec City as well as performing opening acts for several prestigious North American comedians. He has hosted travel shows for CTV, and won two Gémeaux awards (French Gemini award). Christopher is fluent in English, French, German and Italian. But whatever you do, DO NOT take this man seriously! The Monday Musical Club of Tillamook (MMCT) was formed on October 10, 1920 when Mrs. Edwin E. Koch, a music teacher, invited a group of ladies to her home for the purpose of studying the "history of music. The formal organization of the Monday Musical Club of Tillamook didn't occur until two years later in 1922. The initial 12 ladies of the MMCT grew and changed over the years, but the biggest change came in 1994 when they took on the challenge of bringing the Oregon Symphony to Tillamook County.Monday Musical Club of Tillamook boothat the Tillamook County Fair Since then, the Monday Musical Club of Tillamook has become a well known presenting company with an annual season of 4 events and 1 or 2 special events. The Monday Musical Club of Tillamook has a history of not just providing an entertaining calendar of performers, but also incorporating the visits of these artists into the local Kindergarten - 12th grade educational programs in the Tillamook School Districts. Funds raised by the Monday Musical Club of Tillamook are used to sponsor master classes for Tillamook music students and also to fund scholarships for the winners of the club’s annual talent competition.
