NMA OKC is hosting a Krav Maga Seminar covering basic knife defense concepts. This hands-on workshop will be open to the public. National Martial Arts of SW OKC is hosting a Krav Maga Seminar covering basic knife defense concepts. This hands-on workshop will be open to the public and no experience is required. Participants will learn and drill basic Krav Maga philosophies and concepts of defending against knife attacks- not just memorizing techniques. Black Belt instructors Michael South and Curtis Taylor will be showing videos of real-life knife attacks on NMA's classroom projector then showing concepts, techniques, and strategies for dealing with those very attacks- bringing a whole new dimension to this workshop. Krav Maga is widely considered on of the most practical self-defense systems on the planet. It is an Israeli Military Martial Art that favors simplicity and brutality over flashy, impractical movements seen in some traditional martial arts. In “Krav Maga” or Contact Combat training, one can generate a good deal of physical proficiency in a relatively short amount of time thanks to the practical, no-nonsense approach to dealing with aggressive attacks. *Due to the violent and real-life nature of the videos that will be shown and the drills we will cover, participants should be at least 16-years of age. All participants that are 16-17 years old must have a parent present before the seminar to sign a liability waiver. *Cost for the seminar is $60 (cash at the door) $40 for any current NMA member. $40 for all current LEO's.
