LOOKING FOR UNWANTED KNITTING NEEDLES & YARN AND/OR CRAFT SUPPLIES

I am hoping someone has extra or unwanted knitting supplies and/or any other type of crafting supplies including broken or cheap jewelry pieces that I could turn into something, I'm sure. I am working through some very tough stuff and in order to handle anxiety and depression I could really use some materials to keep my hands and mind busy, (so that I smoke less; truly I want/need to quit altogether), with harmless and healthy things, like crafts of any kind. I have seen small bundles of yarn at Dollar Tree for $1 each but they don't sell knitting needles though. Also I have very few and very old and worn out clothes and could really use a basic needle and thread and maybe a few buttons, I am not at all picky, I'll make anything work. I have several pieces of clothing that seriously need some mending which I can do myself, I just don't have the materials/equipment to do so. I greatly appreciate any genuine, decent and honest replies. (By decent I mean nothing of an illegal, immoral or sexual nature.) I look forward to hopefully being able to find what I'm looking for, parts and pieces would be appreciated as well.
