Upstate Kids First is inviting you to our Bar-B -Que, Beer, & Blues Fest! This is our first fundraiser, so please come out and support us! Our first fundraiser will be held on Monday, September 20th from 6 pm to 9 pm at Larkin's Sawmill, a beautiful event venue just north of the downtown area located at 22 Graves Drive. Our theme is a Bar-B-Que, Beer, & Blues Festival, and Larkin's Catering will be providing pulled pork, smoked chicken, potato salad, cole slaw, and all the fixins that a good barbeque should have! The Swamp Rabbit Blues Band will be playing the gig also, and we're excited to have a local band support the cause and have fun with us there! Good food, great entertainment, and supporting a wonderful cause makes this a must-attend party! We started this local nonprofit organization last August with a desire and determination to help families here in the Greenville area that are going through DSS and family court processes. Some parents struggle to comply with DSS requirements, taking programs, and staying focused on those priorities. It can be an uphill battle to complete these challenges, and the parent navigation and coaching services we provide help keep these parents on the right track. We point the parents in the right direction, refer them to our partners in the area to provide them with the services they need, and we stand as a source of positivity and encouragement to them along the way also. In addition, we provide tangible goods for the children of these parents also, such as diapers, wipes, toys, clothes, and school supplies. We do everything we can to help the parents get custody of their children and move these families forward. Our charity makes a huge difference in the lives of our local youth as well as their entire family unit as well! It takes a collaborative effort on all of our parts to ensure stable futures for families in our community, so please reach out with your support!
