Leadership and the Future Vitality of Northwest Missouri
Our guest speaker will be Marshall Stewart, Vice Chancellor for Extension and Engagement, University of Missouri and Chief Engagement Officer, UM System. Stewart’s roles involve partnership development and stakeholder relations with local, state, and federal policymakers; MU Extension County, regional and state advisory groups; and partners and collaborators in the community, corporate, government and non-profit sectors.
Dr. Stewart is uniquely qualified to address the challenges and accomplishments in the recent past across Missouri. He restructured MU Extension and engagement work around Missourians’ grand challenges related to economic opportunity, educational access and excellence, and health and well-being. This aligns closely with The Community Foundation’s ongoing Regional Vitality initiative and its product, Maximize NWMO. We will hear how the two initiatives dovetail and are partnering to enhance NWMO.
The mission of The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri is:
Through regional collaboration increase the power of charitable giving and philanthropy to transform our region into an economically vibrant area.
