Expecting a baby? Planning a pregnancy? Join us to learn how birth and postpartum doulas can support you! Please join The Doulas of Rhode Island to learn more about how doulas support families throughout pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period while helping to reduce negative outcomes and experiences. We invite expecting families and individuals, medical professionals and anyone interested in meeting some of our amazing members of the Doulas of Rhode Island to attend. **Don't forget to bring your blankets and chairs along with you. We'll assemble outside of the Farmer's Market, under a tree near the playground). We look forward to seeing you soon!! The Doulas of Rhode Island (DoRI) is a non-profit organization to increase public awareness about the physical and emotional benefits of doula support during and after birth.Birth doulas assist with labor offering support and comfort measures to the laboring woman and her partner.Postpartum doulas support new families with evidence based information re: feeding your baby, newborn care and family adjustment.
