That’s what my family instilled in me. For five generations, we’ve worked relentlessly to grow and produce great California Chardonnays. We don’t do it because we have to, we do it because we love to.” Murrieta’s Well Sauvignon Blanc, 2019 This white is a new introductions for the label. Descendants of the original Chateau d’Yquem Sauvignon Blanc cuttings are planted in the estate Louis Mel Vineyard, where the vines are planted in well-drained gravelly soils. The result is exquisite, with notes of tangerine and honeysuckle on nose and palate. While voluptuous on the front end, a salinity of ripe pear comes up mid-way and lingers with a wave of minerality, surrounded by green apple. Wente Riva Ranch Chardonnay, 2019
Opens with bold oak aromatics, complemented by rich tropical fruit such as pineapple to white nectarine and sweet baking spices on the palate, finishing with a round mouthfeel. Wente Riva Ranch Pinot Noir, 2018
Subtle with delicate hints of baked red apple and hints of baking spice such as cinnamon and nutmeg. This wine has beautiful lingering tannins making this a great wine for food pairings. Murrieta’s Well The Spur Red, 2018
Crafted from blending the classic Bordeaux varietals with Petite Sirah, which offers a distinctively California expression. Each varietal is farmed, harvested, and handcrafted individually to achieve their greatest expression prior to assembling the final blend. The 2018 vintage provides an aromatic profile of black cherry, blueberry and clove with complementary notes of graham cracker and ripe blackberry. The dark fruit aromas carry through to the palate which is framed by fine tannins, and a rich, lasting, and elegant mouthfeel. Enjoy through 2026. Charles Wetmore Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018
A beautiful representation of our Charles Wetmore Vineyard in the Livermore Valley. A statuesque beauty with notes of violets and chocolate that lick the palate. A round, velvety mouthfeel with sturdy, slightly dusty tannins. Elegant from start to finish, with earthy undertones and ripe blackberry. Acidity keeps it bright. *reservations required, limited seating The first & only wine shop in Minnesota featuring sustainable, organic & biodynamic wines.
